  • Meet at Shenandoah Parking Deck Circle for a 7:30am departure the bus will leave at exactly 7:30 so be early.
  • Travel time is approximately 2 hours. Arrive at Liberty at 10am.
  • Get tickets & tubes, and eat lunch. Tubing from 10:00am-12:00pm then lunch.
  • Depart for campus no later than 1:00pm to arrive back around 3:00pm.

  • This event is open to Mason students only. When registering only one name with matching G#.  You may not purchase more than one ticket under a name or G#.
  • You MUST have your student ID to board the bus.  If you do not you will be turned away and you will not receive a refund.
  • Recommended items to bring: warm gloves, boots (or shoes that can withstand the snow), warm coat, and a change of clothes (in case snow clothes get wet). Lunch is either a personal pizza meal or a hot dog meal, so bring snacks or money for snacks if you need it

First Day of Spring 2015 Classes

January 20 marks the first day of the Spring 2015 academic term.

All Day (through the 27th)    The Spirit of King Photo Challenge

  • The Spirit of King Photo Challenge will be on-going throughout the commemoration week of Martin Luther King Jr. Either tweet or Instagram or Facebook a photo that best displays this year’s theme of How Long? Not Long? How Far? Not Far? or upload a photo while at the different events throughout the week. One winner will be chosen daily by the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration committee members. All photos must have the hashtag #SpiritofKing and a thought provoking caption to be taken into consideration for the challenge. Examples of photos include, but are not limited to:
    • Pictures at different MLK commemoration events
    • Quotes encompassing this year’s theme
    • Interactions on campus during the week
  • Daily winners will be chosen by 5 pm and will be contacted via the social media platform that was used for submission.
  • All social media is encouraged to be used, but the committee will only be looking over submissions through Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for the challenge. Only photos will be taken into consideration.
  • We encourage all to participate in this interactive reflection of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Legacy!
